The Fox and the Crow

歡迎收聽微電臺，寓言talk show節目，我是趙博元。今天我給大傢講的寓言故事是：狐貍和烏鴉。

有一次，有隻狐貍看見一隻烏鴉嘴裡銜著一塊奶酪飛走，落在瞭樹枝上。

狐貍想要得到那塊奶酪，於是他說：“日安，烏鴉小姐。”並繼續對烏鴉喊道：“你今天看起來氣色真好：羽毛閃閃發光，眼睛炯炯有神。我相信你的聲音一定比其他鳥兒更動聽，就像你的身段兒一樣；請讓我聽你唱一首歌吧，這樣我就能將您視作鳥中皇後而去頂禮膜拜瞭。

烏鴉聽後抬起頭，開始盡情地鳴叫，可她剛一張嘴，奶酪就掉到瞭地上，被狐貍撿瞭起來。

“這就夠瞭，”狐貍說，“這就是我想要的。作為得到這塊奶酪的回報，我送給你一個忠告：'不要相信溜須拍馬的人’。”

Hello everyone, this is We Radio, the fables talk show. I am ZhaoBoyuan. The name of the story I will tell you today is: the Fox and the Crow.

A Fox once saw a Crow fly off with a piece of cheese in its beak and settle on a branch of a tree. 

“That’s for me, as I am a Fox,”  and he walked up to the foot of the tree. “Goodday, Mistress Crow,” he cried. “How well you are looking to-day: how glossy your feathers; how bright your eye. I feel sure your voice must surpass that of other birds, just as your figure does; let me hear but one song from you that I may greet you as the Queen of Birds.’ 

The Crow lifted her head and began to caw her best, but the moment she opened her mouth the piece of cheese fell to the ground, only to be snapped up by Master Fox. “That will do,” said he. “That was all I wanted. In exchange for your cheese I will give you a piece of advice for the future. Do not trust flatterers.”
